1. Who we are
The Services at www.sokacademy.com ("SOK Academy") are provided by S.O.K. Scientific & Educational Consultancy Co. (S.P.C.), C.R. 509691, State of Kuwait (the "Company"). By accessing or using the Services you agree to these Terms.
2. Changes
The Company may modify these Terms, and may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services — content, features, plans, pricing, bonuses — at its discretion. Changes take effect when posted on this page; your continued use after posting constitutes acceptance. The Company is not liable for exercising these rights, including any resulting loss of data, access, benefits, or content, except as stated in the Refund Policy.
3. Eligibility
Users accessing the Services must be at least thirteen (13) years old. Users registering an account or uploading content must be at least eighteen (18), or have verifiable consent and ongoing supervision from a parent or legal guardian; registering as a minor confirms such consent exists. You are solely responsible for compliance with the laws of your own jurisdiction, and the Company makes no representation that the Services are lawful to access in any particular place.
4. Accounts and security
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your username and password and for all use of your account, whether or not authorized by you. Log out on shared devices, and notify the Company immediately of any unauthorized use.
5. The Services and your licence
SOK Academy is a digital Islamic education platform: video lessons and recordings, live sessions, written materials, community features, and one-to-one consultations. The Company grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to access the Services for your own non-commercial use. Streaming quality depends on your connection, device, and bandwidth and is not guaranteed. You alone decide whether the Services suit your needs.
6. Subscriptions, purchases, and billing
Content may be offered by subscription, one-time purchase, or other plans shown on the relevant page; available plans may change at the Company's discretion. By purchasing, you authorize the Company to charge your selected payment method. You must keep valid payment details on your account. Recurring subscriptions continue, and renew automatically at the price published at renewal, until you cancel or the Company terminates them; cancel before the next charge from your account settings or by emailing [email protected], effective from the next cycle. Prices are stated in US dollars. A bilingual electronic invoice is issued for every successful payment and sent to your registered email.
7. SOK Unlimited Access
The SOK Unlimited Access subscription provides ongoing access to the core SOK Services for the lifetime of the Company. Accompanying bonuses (such as periods of WhatsApp access, community access, or other extras) are discretionary and may be modified, limited, or revoked in cases of misuse or breach of these Terms; the core access remains valid unless the account is terminated under these Terms. Purchases of SOK Unlimited Access are final in accordance with the Refund Policy.
8. Refunds
Governed by the Refund Policy at sokacademy.com/refund-policy. In summary: the Services are digital and access opens immediately upon payment, so the right of withdrawal does not apply once access has opened; duplicate charges and amounts collected without the corresponding service being provided are always refunded in full.
9. Conduct
The Services may be used only for lawful purposes consistent with their educational nature. You must not violate or attempt to violate the security of the Services — including accessing data or accounts without authorization, probing or testing vulnerabilities, interfering with service to any user or network, introducing malicious code, spamming or flooding, forging headers, scraping or harvesting data, or using automation to manipulate the platform. The Company investigates violations and may cooperate with law enforcement.
10. Your information and content
You are responsible for what you submit and warrant that it is accurate, kept up to date, and that you have the right to post it. The Company may decide, at its discretion, whether submitted content is appropriate and compliant. Unsolicited ideas or suggestions you send become the property of the Company, which may use them without restriction or compensation and without any obligation of confidence.
11. Intellectual property
The Company's names, marks, and the Services — including all content, software, interfaces, graphics, and documentation — are and remain the exclusive property of the Company or its content providers, protected by the intellectual-property laws of the State of Kuwait and other applicable jurisdictions. You may not copy, sell, modify, reproduce, display, publicly perform, distribute, or otherwise exploit the Services or their content.
12. Software
Where the Services include downloadable software or apps, the Company grants a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them solely with the Services. You may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile, copy, rent, resell, sublicense, or distribute the software. The Company may update the software, and may terminate the licence on breach, upon which you must stop using and delete it.
13. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with: your (or your principal's) signature, identification of the work and the infringing material with its location, your contact details, and a good-faith statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act. Counter-notices may be sent the same way with your contact details, the removed content's location, and a good-faith statement that removal was in error.
14. Third-party and social links
Sharing to external social networks is at your own responsibility and subject to those networks' terms.
15. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Company does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners are not liable for damages arising from your use of the Services, and the Company's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for access to the Services.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the Company harmless from claims arising from your use of the Services, your content or communications, or your breach of these Terms. The Company may assume exclusive defense of any such matter.
18. Communications
By using the Services you consent to receive electronic communications from the Company, including transactional messages and — unless you opt out — marketing messages.
19. General
These Terms create no partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in force. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights or obligations. These Terms benefit only the Company and the individual user.
20. Governing law and language
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, and Kuwaiti courts have jurisdiction over any dispute. These Terms are published in English and Arabic; the English text is authoritative and prevails in case of conflict, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
