Assalamu ‘alaikum dear Shaykh. I work remotely and could live in Al Madinah in shaa Allah. However my parents live in the US and are in need of guidance as they’re upon bid’ah, and the Salafi masjid in my US city needs support for spreading the da’wah. Should I make hijrah or stay in the US?

If you are safe in your religion, able to practise it openly, and your staying truly benefits Islam through daʿwah, then staying is allowed: Imam Ibn Baz said there is no harm in staying to call to Allah, and Shaykh Ibn Uthaymin said if staying is more beneficial for Islam and the Muslims there is no harm. If you fear for your religion, hijrah is obligatory.
