What is proper hijab ? I'm a man and want to know what clothings are forbidden and what are allowed as I don't know and want to make sure that my wife dress properly to go out. Could you give exemple of haram/halal clothe ? My wife sometimes put loose pants that are not shaping the awra is it ok ?

Her clothing in front of non-mahram men must cover her body, be thick so nothing shows through, loose so it does not describe her shape, not be an adornment in itself or perfumed, and not resemble the dress of men or of non-Muslim women, as al-Albani listed. As for trousers, the Permanent Committee said that wearing trousers in place of the covering garment is not proper hijab, and Ibn Uthaymin forbade them for women even when loose.
