Ahsan Allahu Alikum Ustadh, What is the ruling on renting out cars if a legal requirement (in the west) for them is that you must have commercial insurance? Does the same ruling apply if the car is for my personal use, as a necessity, but I also use it for work as a taxi? Jazak Allahu Khairan

Is the commercial insurance you are asking about required by law on every car in your country, or is it required only because the car is being rented out and driven as a taxi?
