alsalmu alaikum Sheikh Al-Haqqan is making ziyara to graves of past pious people haram especially if the intention is just for visitation not to ask something from them, but also what if these people are family would it also be haram? May allah give you a lot of khair for answering my question

You can make du'a' for him from anywhere, and there is no harm if you visit the cemetery to remind u of the hereafter even if there is a relative there but u don't travel for such a thing.
