As-salamu alaykum Ustadh. I want to do lots of Sadaqah in general for sake of Allah and live in the west. How can I give Sadaqah & what is the best way. Would it count if I give my family gifts for Eid this Eid, as a charity or shall I do something else, as I really want to benefit from it.

In charity, you can help the poor and the needy, especially if they are relatives and close to you. As for buying gifts and bringing happiness to your family members, this is also an act of worship. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) told us, "Tahadu, tahabbu." A rough translation of that is: "Exchange gifts, increase in love."
