السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته أحسن الله إليكم my wife and I like to watch sometime some old disney movies or anime’s together (with trying avoiding music & haram ofc). Is it permissible to watch romance to strengthen our bond? And what about if my wife watches it alone? بارك الله فيكم

If you avoid things that are forbidden and you choose something wisely and carefully, that is okay, insha'Allah. I remember I asked some of our mashayikh and they allowed it. They said it is allowed, and some of them even gave examples like detective animations where there aren't forbidden things involved. So this is allowed, insha'Allah, according to their fatwa, and Allah knows best.
