السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ I have a question about hadith qudsi. What is the diffrence between a hadith qudsi and the Quran. Why is hadith Qudsi not "Quran". بَارَكَ اللَّهُ فِيكَ

Ustadh AbdulAziz al-Haqqan
Imam Ibn Baz raḥimahullāh explained that a hadith qudsi is what the Prophet ﷺ relates from his Rabb (Lord) outside the Quran, so it is the speech of Allah, in both wording and meaning upon the correct view. It is not called Quran because it does not take the rulings of the Quran: it is not the continuing miracle, it is not recited in the salah (the prayer is recited with the Quran only), and touching a page that contains it does not require taharah (ritual purity). So both are the speech of Allah, and the Quran alone carries these special rulings.
