السلام عليكم ورحمه الله وبركاته What's the ruling on when Quraa repeat an ayah over and over again in the Salah. Like for emphasis etc or because they like it? Allowed, recommended, prohibited, frowned upon? بارك الله فيك

Imam Ibn Bāz, may Allah have mercy upon him, was asked: What is the ruling on the imam repeating certain ayat of mercy or of punishment? He, may Allah have mercy upon him, answered: I do not know of any harm in this, when the intention is to encourage people toward reflection, humility (khushūʿ), and benefit. For it has been narrated about him (the Prophet), peace and blessings be upon him, that he repeated the saying of Allah Jalla wa ʿAlā (the Majestic and Exalted): *"If You punish them, they are indeed Your servants; and if You forgive them, then indeed You are al-ʿAzīz (the Almighty), al-Ḥakīm (the All-Wise)"* [al-Māʾidah: 118] — he repeated it many times, peace and blessings be upon him. The upshot is that if it is done with a righteous intention, and not with the intention of showing off (riyāʾ), then there is no objection to it.
