Assalamualaykum and Eid Mubarak! Ustad I live in Canada and was looking into the ruling on making a credit card. There may be times in the future where I might need it for things like hotels and car rentals, etc. In my case, is it permissible to make? if so, what conditions to follow after making it

I explained this in our transactions course: you are only allowed to do so if there is an actual, real need that is necessary, and it would cause you hardship (or extra hardship) to get around. It must be something that is main and primary in your life. However, if it is just something that you think maybe you will need, then no. When you need it and it is actually something vital, then you can do so; if not, it is not allowed for you to make one. Keep in mind that sometimes there are alternatives that you need to ask about. I saw some of the brothers talking about alternatives and how to manage without it.
