السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته أحسن الله إليكم In Manhaj al-Salikin, lesson 5 states that dead animals are najis, except for dead human beings. Why are human beings mentioned specifically, and why are they not considered najis even though human flesh is not halal to eat?

If we said it is impure, then we say the bodies of the prophets are impure. This is one of the things that people of ilm have mentioned, so contemplate that. Not everything that we are not allowed to eat is impure. For example, poison is forbidden to ingest, eat, or drink; however, poison is not impure. We have mentioned this in our lessons. We have also mentioned the rule that everything that is impure is forbidden for us to eat.
