السلام علیکم ورحمتہ اللہ وبرکاتہ Shaykh, can I take an EMI in which no extra money is charged? For example, the price of my AirPods is 1500, and an EMI charge of 95 was added, but I got a discount of 95, so the total price remains 1500. So, would this still be haram or is it permissible?

If what you mean by EMI is that you have taken a loan to purchase an item and then you will pay it back with an additional fee over installments or later on, then this is forbidden because it is interest (Riba). But if what you mean is just normal installments—for example, like we have here in Muslim countries and even as Islamic banks do it—where you want to buy a car, if they own the car, they would sell it to you now for a certain amount of money. If you are not able to pay upfront and you want to pay on installments, they increase the price, and this is allowed in Islam.
