I needed to drive my car to repair it, but my insurance didn't cover to take me to my auto repair station so someone I know (that has a different insurance) offered to use his to get my car picked up. Am I sinful even though it isn't my insurance

It is forbidden if it is trickery used in order not to pay money and the company does not allow it. In this case, you are using a trick in order to get them to pay what they otherwise wouldn't have paid. This is assuming that the insurance you are using is not a forbidden one. But if they allow it then it is allowed.
