If a woman is menstruating and the women’s musalla in the masjid is upstairs, is it permissible for her to sit on the staircase or in the reception downstairs just to listen to the Jumu‘ah khutbah, without entering the musalla?

If it is outside and seperate form men and they don't see you fine, but why do you have to go?
