Assalamu Alaikum. Is it allowed to read a book where a man and woman with awrah exposed talking respectfully (no romance)? Also, you said a game is fine if you can skip praying to a statue—what if a book has people praying to a statue? or small things like a girl travelling alone. JazakAllah

If you can skip these things and there is a need for reading the book then fine. As for in regards to talking to one another and travelling alone, if this affects your heart and piety then no don't read.
