If I wipe over my socks with moist hands (I wiped over everything that must be wiped, up to above the ankles), but I notice that after wiping many areas I wiped are still dry — is this valid? Do I need to make up those prayers (I estimate about 1–2 weeks ago)?

You only wipe from your toes to your shin and without wiping every single place you understand? Just a simple wipe will do.
