السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Ustadh what differentiates a musalla from a masjid? Does adhan need to happen there for it to be a masjid?

From Fataawa al-Lajnah ad-Daa’imah (5/169): “A masjid (mosque) is a place that has been designated permanently for the five daily obligatory prayers and endowed (waqf) for that purpose. As for a musalla, it is a place that is used for occasional prayers such as the Eid prayers, funeral prayers, or others, and has not been endowed for the five daily prayers."
