السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته احسن الله إليكم I bought pirated programs from someone knowingly and used them but I didn’t know that this action is haram, do I have to compensate the companies? Or is it the fault of the seller? جزاكم الله خير

If you did not know it is his fault, and u can return the program to gim and get your money back, or you can even let the authorities know if he is breaking the law. U can also just stop using them.
