السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته I’m temporarily staying in my home country (which is a place of mushrikeen). Our relatives send us food that have meat so is it permissible for me to eat this or should I ask them if they got it from a Muslim butcher shop?

The different opinions are in regards to Christians and jews only not every disbeliever. So if it is a Buddhist country then you need to look for halal meat yes.
