اَلسَلامُ عَلَيْكُم وَرَحْمَةُ اَللهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ Is cooking a reason a person may be excused from attending the masjid because they would ruin the food if it was left alone?

As long as u pray in jama'ah even if u were not cooking it is not mandatory, unless u r very close to the masjid on the saying of some of the people of ilm.
