The scholars differ on cloth woven from silk and another fiber. Shaykh Ibn Uthaymin held that only pure silk, or cloth that is mostly silk, is forbidden, and cloth mostly of something else is allowed. The Permanent Committee held that silk, pure or mixed, is not allowed except a trim of up to four fingers. This concerns natural silk only. As for artificial silk it is allowed for men.
