I became deeply infatuated with my friend (we are both males). We both felt uncomfortable about it so gave each other space & I started moving on. He blocked me. Permissible to make dua to Allah to guide him back to my life as a righteous friend in a halal way that He is pleased with, without evil?

Alhamdulilah that you have space now away from each other and it seems more comfortable to be so. If you want to make dua then ask Allah for what is best for you generally that's it.
