Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Baraktuh, May Allah reward you and grant you with goodness. Are Maqamat bid'ah (or impermissible to use) and if so why do shaykhs like Yasser al Dossari who are imams of the haramain supposedly use it?

Reciting the Qur'an with the melodies and manner of singers is not allowed, as Imam Ibn Baz and the Permanent Committee said, while beautifying the voice is praised. Recitation that keeps to the rules of tajwid without going beyond them is no harm.
