أحسن الله إليكم During idle times (driving, walking, waiting, in a public transport etc) what are the list of things you would recommend to a student of knowledge to best use their time, starting with what you believe takes the highest priority? نفع الله بكم وبعلمكم

Ustadh AbdulAziz al-Haqqan
This depends on the attention span and concentration, which differs from one person to another. Therefore, I always say: take your knowledge with you, the knowledge that you prefer. If it is reading, always have something to read with you. If it is listening, then Q&As are extremely beneficial, as well as lectures in this regard, or some of the Quran or Hadith. You can also record yourself and put it on a loop so you memorize that one page, or revise that one surah on repeat. All of these are valid and extremely beneficial ways of using lost time while walking, driving, or commuting. Listening to beneficial podcasts or interviews with scholars and students of knowledge also means it doesn't even feel like studying. It keeps things fresh so that once you get back home, you are full of energy to study fully focused, with pen and paper in hand.
