السلام عليكم ورحمة الله I have a father who is very negligent with prayer. Is it permissible to prevent my children from spending time with him out of fear of him having a bad influence on them?

You can limit it, but in a nice way. If he is a bad influence, you can do that: however, not in a disrespectful way, and not in a way that is obvious.
