In my country we have to open savings account as current accounts r mainly for businessmen. Also no islamic banks present. What is the stronger opinion with regards to what to do with the interest they give - leave it in the bank & dont use it or take it out & give to poor?

Take it out and give it away not for any need of your own. It should be spent in the ways of good, such as upon the poor and the like.
