i had a question ustad some people recite surah fatiha and they know the meanings but are still misguided we know allah responds to that dua and gives guidance what are they doing wrong on not receiving allah guidances so they can receive it

Guidance is two, the guidance of showing the way, which the Messengers and their followers can do, and the guidance of tawfiq, which is Allah's alone, and du'a is a true cause of it but not the only one and not the one that works by itself. What is usually missing is sincere following of the Messenger ﷺ above everything else and acting on what one already knows, and among the things that withhold it are sins and unlawful earnings.
