My mother and grandmother told me to read a compilation of Quranic Ayat referred to as “Surah Manzil” which basically takes ayahs from Surah Baqarah, As Saffat regarding seeking protection and puts them together to read together, on the App store its called Manzil. Does this fall under Bid’ah?

I know of no evidence for this, and if they have evidence (an ayah or hadeeth) that tells us to do this, then we welcome and follow it, otherwise it would be an innovation yes.
