Assalaamu Alaykum. My friend can, due to health reasons, only stand for part of the prayer. She can recite Fatiha while standing if she prays Isha at the beginning, but wishes to follow the sunnah and delay it, though that’d mean sitting down during the full prayer. Which is best? Standing in the obligatory prayer is a rukn upon whoever is able to it, while delaying ʿIshāʾ is only recommended, so the one who is able to stand only at the start of the time prays at the start, and an obligation is not left for a virtue.
