Ustadh, you mentioned that "Ijma` isn’t an evidence by itself but it is an indication of an evidence that didn’t reach us" A talib ilm student: It is Ijma is evidence in itself and said the saying "it's an indication of an evidence that didn't reach us" requires evidence. Is there khilaf on this?

What i know is what we said that it indicates an evidence and that this is the asl and it is the saying of the jumhoor, therefore it is vice versa he needs to bring evidence. Ofcourse I can be wrong and we can discuss the matter.
