Assalamo alaikum Ustadh, ik that movies and tv shows are haram but if someone has gifted me merchandise such as t shirts or vests of movies or anime which has no taswir only symbols of different superheroes or characters from said movies or tv shows, is it permissible to wear it? or best to avoid?

Wear them at home or so if you need to, as it is not befitting for you to meet your family and people with them. Or sleep in them if you need to.
