Assalamualikum wa rahmatAllahi wa barakatuhu. One of my friends who goes to university in the US is wondering whether investment banking is a halal form of income to pursue in the future. If not, what other financial jobs are there that would accrue halal income? Jazakallah khairan ustadh.

If the major will lead him to work with riba based establishments and banks, this is forbidden. as for other majors, he should consult an expert in this field.
