AhsanAllahu ilaykum Ustādh. What is the status of a sick believer before Allah, and what are the virtues of illness? If someone has been ill since birth and remains ill until his death, can we say that (some of) his sins are wiped away through this trial?

Yes, as these trials are removal of sind or elevation in status. May Allah cure those that are suffering from sickness in the ummah. And the person should be reminded of this to make ihtisab and count the reward with Allah
