We know that every innovation leads to hellfire and is forbidden. But I came a hadith in Sahih Muslim 1017, where it talks about whoever starts something good in islam gets reward of the people who act upon it, and the other way around as well. Could you please explain this hadith ustadh?

When you initiate a sunnah that is part of the religion that those around u are not doing so they follow your lead. For example you pray 2 rakas in the masjid after you return from travelling and most people don't know this sunnah.
