Is memorizing isnad and source when memorizing hadiths important? Or is memorizing the wording of the hadith sufficient?

Memorize the wording of the hadith itself and not the chain, that only makes it harder. As for the reference, know that what you have memorized is authentic, and if it is easy for you to know the source this is good, and if not, then whether it is authentic or not is the most important thing.
