(1) When I receive my monthly salary, should I immediately donate the amount I plan to give for that month, or should I spread it out weekly or daily? (2) Is consistently donating 10% of my earnings considered bid'ah, or an imitation of Christians? Should I pick another percentage?

Give it in whichever way you will keep to, for the most beloved deeds to Allah are the most constant even if they are few (agreed upon), and no, your generosity, may Allah reward you, is not a bid'ah.
