Assalaamu alaykum Ustadh, A) Any advice for a student who struggles with memorizing the references of each hadith without mixing it up when recalling? B) How important is memorizing the exact wordings that the sahabi used like سمعت رسول الله, قال رسول الله, etc. Jazakumullahu khaira

Just know that what you have memorized is authentic and you will still get some references right. As for the wording, do your best to memorize it so that you do not change a word that changes the meaning while thinking that it does not.
