Obedience to parents is in what is right, and Imam Ibn Baz said the father has no right to order his son to delay marriage until he finishes his studies when the son wants it and is able to do it, and the son does not obey him in that. Keep working on him with kind words and bring in someone he listens to, because a refusal over lineage or race is not a Shariah reason.
