Ustadh, my father and my family don't talk to my father's siblings. I tried to advise them many times which resolved in my father being angry with me. Now when I bring up that I want to maintain my ties with them my parents get upset with me. I try to see these relatives on eid at least. is this ok?

Keeping the tie with your uncles is obligatory and your parents are not obeyed in cutting it, obedience is in what is good. Imam Ibn Baz said that if you can keep it without your parents knowing then you have combined both, so keep it quietly and keep speaking to them gently and do not raise it with them again.
