I was wondering if pro boxing is haram? Due to the hadith on it being forbidden to strike the face, and the environment in which these things happen in. Jazakallah Khair

Professional boxing is not allowed. Imam Ibn Baz said the rules of the shariah point to its prohibition for the great harm in it, and striking the face is forbidden in itself, so wearing headgear does not change that. Training on the body to learn how to defend yourself, without hitting the face and without harming yourself or others, is a different matter and is allowed.
