If she has seen purity she makes ghusl, prays and fasts even before the forty, and if the blood returns within the forty it is nifas again while what she prayed in between stands. If she has not seen purity and only brown or yellow discharge continues, it is still counted with the nifas until she is pure. The sign of purity is the white discharge, or that the cotton comes out clean with no colour left on it.
