Ahsanallahu Ilaykum What should one do regarding parent who don't bother about seeking Ilm not even Qira'atul Qur'an, Tawheed? How do one convince them and can one be teaching them if they claim they are no teachers around. And how do one convince them to learn the deen else they are consequences?

Ustadh AbdulAziz al-Haqqan
Learning what one needs of his religion is obligatory upon every Muslim man and woman, and there is no harm in you teaching them what you have learned. Advise them with gentleness and in a good manner without clashing, do not despair of their guidance, and if they do not take it from you then let someone they listen to advise them. Also you can do dawah to them by only sending them videos of the trustworthy scholars first specially videos they like that does not clash with them at all, and after they start liking the scholar and take from him they will in sha'a Allah fix their shortcomings by listening to him and others as well.
