Assalamu alaikum usatdh. I was selected for a company that works with life insurance for big companies such as credit union and professional basketball teams. My job is to not look for new sales but support the customers who are large corporations. Is this permissible?

This work is not permissible. Commercial insurance is forbidden, as the scholars have stated, because it combines gharar (ambiguousness) and gambling. The scholars have mentioned that the only insurance that is allowed is cooperative or Islamic insurance, which is built on mutual donation and not on commercial profit.
