Besides it being disbelief, does it constitute worshipping an idol for one who attributes to Allah a sense of humor?

Ahlul Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah describe Allah only with what He affirmed for Himself and what His Messenger ﷺ affirmed for Him, in a way that befits His Majesty, without likening Him to His creation and without denying His Attributes. To attribute to Allah a characteristic He did not affirm for Himself, such as a created human trait, is speaking about Allah without knowledge and is a form of likening Him to His creation (tamthīl), which is among the gravest matters in this subject. Imam Ibn Baz raḥimahullāh stated that the obligation is to affirm what Allah affirmed for Himself without any likening, and to declare Him far above resembling anything in His creation.
