Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, Ustadh. I watched your wudu video and had two questions: Is the beard included when washing the face, or is it separate? Also, when rinsing the mouth and nose, should the water be expelled together or in order? JazakAllahu khayran.

Yes, the beard is part of the face in wudūʾ. If it is thick, passing water over it suffices and running wet fingers through it (khilāl) is better; if it is light so the skin shows, the water must reach the skin — as Shaykh Ibn Bāz raḥimahullāh explained. Rinsing the mouth and nose is an obligatory part of washing the face — wudūʾ is not valid without them; once is obligatory, three times is best. The Sunnah is one handful serving both: rinse the mouth then sniff into the nose from it, three times, as the Prophet ﷺ did, spitting and then blowing the water out each round.
