HayakAllah. I have a job offer as a cashier in a phone shop. It might sell accessories with animal designs or inappropriate wording, and speakers often bought for music. As an employee, I only process sales and cannot refuse them. Is this work permissible, as I am in financial hardship?

The scholars distinguish by what the business is mainly about. A phone shop is permissible in its core, so working there as a cashier is allowed in origin, in shā' Allah, even if some items in it are not, and the sin of misuse falls on the one who misuses a thing, not on you. But this is tied to two conditions: that you do not yourself handle the sale of something forbidden in itself, and that the item is not something whose main use is the forbidden thing.
