I’m accounting student pursuing higher studies. Is learning all Islamic sciences obligatory for every Muslim or only recommended? What does Islam say about worldly knowledge and education? Does studying it bring reward, and what should a Muslim prioritize? Is Worldly studies is communal obligation?

The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) had wives, children, and jobs. They had to provide for their families, they trained for battle, and they were heroes. At the same time, in their ibadah and in their knowledge, they were the best of this Ummah. Ask Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) for barakah in your time. Insha'Allah, you can schedule your time correctly and have the best of both worlds. The Sahaba even learned languages, some of them in a very short time as well. Imagine, RadhiAllahu anhum wa ardahum.
