Is donating blood permissible? I heard some of the Hanfi scholars say it is disliked and one should seek forgiveness if he has done it. Help me Ustadh

Blood donation is permissible provided it causes no harm to the donor's health; however, if it results in saving a protected soul and no alternative exists, it becomes obligatory.
