Barakallahu feek if someone who's rich is a guest by me he can afford hotel and restaurants no problem but I spend a lot and am generous on him buying expensive food and so on for him will I be rewarded with the intention of acting on the Hadith? Shaykh Fawzan mentioned it's not wajib isitmustahab?

You get rewarded, yes, inshallah as being generous to a guest is from Ihsan, and you get rewarded for it.
