What is obligatory upon us when it comes to the seeking of knowledge of our wives? Should we check who they take knowledge from, forbid them from taking from the people of biddah and preachers? Or is their seeking of knowledge not as important as ours? Should we make them take a course like sok?

Ustadh AbdulAziz al-Haqqan
Of course, it is equally important that our wives, daughters, and sisters seek Islamic knowledge. It is our responsibility to advise them kindly, gently, and beautifully, without harshness and without causing problems. We should encourage them (even with gifts and so on) so that they start seeking knowledge. We must also tell them whom they can take knowledge from, as it could be quite harmful for them to take from the wrong sources.
